Dr. Hafiz Iqbal is an Assistant Professor (Economics) at the Government Edward College, Pabna-6600, Bangladesh. He is a global environmental leader recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. His interests and expertise include Peace and Human Security, Poverty and Livelihood of the coastal zone, Hedonic Psychology, Settlement and Land Use Policy, Behavioral and Experimental Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Ecological Economics, Econometrics and Rural-Urban migration.

He also has expertise in R&D strategy, Qualitative and Quantitative Research, Design of Surveys, Logistic Regression, Data Analysis, Econometric Modeling, SPSS and EViews, Global Positioning System software: ArcInfo, Policy analysis & evaluation and Cross-section, panel and time series data analysis. He is the lead author of many scientific and academic journals published in different countries.

He won a presentation award for excellent performance from Nagoya University Global Environmental Leaders (NUGELP), Japan. He completed his MS in development science and policy from Hiroshima University.
